An exciting opportunity has arisen for an ambitious Assistant Technical Officer to join the Pharmacy Sterile Production Unit Team based at the Queens Medical Centre at Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust (NUH). You will be joining a team of hardworking and dedicated professionals who formulate, prepare and manufacture medicines for our most vulnerable patients and external customers.
Main duties of the job
* Support manufacturing teams by assisting with stock maintenance and assembling and checking starting materials prior to manufacture.
* Sanitise starting materials prior to transfer into cleanroom environments, and label and inspect finished products.
* Prioritise work effectively, work to tight deadlines to achieve targets and respond to patient and customer needs.
* Work alone or as part of a bigger team.

Person Specification
Essential – Training and Qualifications
* 4 GCSEs at level 3 (grade D) or above in English language, Maths and 2 other subjects or equivalent (or awaiting GCSE exam results)
Desirable – Qualifications
* Possession or working towards a GPHC approved qualification in Pharmacy Service Skills OR a Science and Manufacturing Process Operative qualification
