Class Teacher (Maternity Cover)
Location: Reigate, SurreySalary: £120 – £160 per dayContract Type: Temporary (Maternity Cover)Start Date: September 2026 (or sooner by agreement)
About the Role
We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and committed Class Teacher to join a well-regarded and supportive school in Reigate. This is a temporary maternity cover position, offering an excellent opportunity for a dedicated practitioner to contribute to a positive and inclusive learning environment.
The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality teaching and learning, ensuring that all pupils are supported to achieve their full potential.
Key Responsibilities
* Plan, prepare and deliver engaging lessons in accordance with the National Curriculum
* Assess, record and report on the development, progress and attainment of pupils
* Create a safe, stimulating and inclusive classroom environment
* Adapt teaching to respond to the strengths and needs of all pupils
* Maintain high standards of behaviour in line with the school’s policies
* Work collaboratively with colleagues, support staff and parents
Person Specification
Essential:
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
* Experience of teaching within a primary setting (teacher training for ECTs).
* Strong knowledge of the National Curriculum
* Ability to inspire, motivate and engage pupils
* Good organisational and classroom management skills
Desirable:
* Experience within the relevant key stage or subject area
* Commitment to ongoing professional development
