Our client who is based in the south‑eastern suburbs of Perth is an Australian manufacturer and supplier to the mining, resources, maritime, rail and defence industries. Due to increased business growth, they are currently seeking an experienced Supply Chain Manager to join their team and assist in streamlining supply chain processes.

The Role
Working closely alongside the Operations Manager, this role will see you managing the procurement and inventory control functions through implementing strategic supply chain management strategies. The key focus will be finding cost‑effective, efficient and low‑risk solutions.
Your core responsibilities will be (however, not limited to)
* Oversee end‑to‑end supply chain operations, including procurement, warehousing, logistics and distribution.
* Develop and implement strategies to improve efficiency, reliability, and cost‑effectiveness.
* Build and maintain strong supplier and logistics partnerships through effective sourcing and relationship management.
* Manage inventory levels and warehouse performance.
* Monitor key supply chain KPIs and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
* Liaise with internal stakeholders in relation to needs and commercial advice/support.
* Analysis and selection of vendors.
* Financial budget management and reporting.
Essential Skills and Experience
* Between 8 to 10 years of experience within a similar position, ideally within a WA manufacturing business.
* Previous experience with international supply chain management, liaising with 3PL and 4PL suppliers.
* Strong freight & logistics experience, along with strong procurement strategy and leadership skills.
* Tertiary qualification in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business or related field (desired).
* Knowledge of contract management and negotiations.
* Experience in process improvement (Lean / Six Sigma) (desired).
* Proficient in utilising ERP systems.
* Adaptability to challenging situations and high level of analytic and conceptual skills.
* High level of interpersonal skills along with professional written correspondence skills.
* Ability to communicate with stakeholders in a professional manner.
