Job Title: Overhead Crane Operator
Location: Droitwich
Hours: Monday to Friday - Day Shift (40 hours per week)
Pay Rate: £13.50- 14.00 per hour
Overtime: Regular overtime available
Job Overview
We are currently seeking an experienced and reliable Overhead Crane Operator to join our team at our Droitwich facility. This is a full-time, day-shift position offering long-term, stable employment with regular overtime.
The role is heavily focused on the safe lifting, positioning, and movement of large steel RSJs and heavy structural steel sections within a busy industrial environment.
Key Responsibilities
* Safely operate overhead cranes to lift, move, and position large steel RSJs and heavy structural steel
* Slinging, signalling, and positioning loads accurately
* Loading and unloading steel materials within the workshop and yard
* Carrying out pre-use crane checks and basic daily inspections
* Working closely with production and yard teams to ensure safe lifting operations
* Following lifting plans, method statements, and all health & safety procedures
* Maintaining a clean, safe, and organised working environment
Requirements
* Proven experience operating overhead cranes (essential)
* Experience lifting large steel sections / RSJs (highly desirable)
* Valid overhead crane licence or certification (preferred)
* Strong understanding of safe lifting operations and load control
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
* Reliable, safety-conscious, and detail-oriented
