We are seeking a dedicated and nurturing Teaching Assistant to join the team at a welcoming and inclusive SEMH Primary School in Stretford. Our school provides a safe, structured and supportive environment where every child is encouraged to reach their full potential - both emotionally and academically.
About the Role:
* Work closely with teachers to support children with SEMH needs, both in class and 1:1
* Help implement tailored learning activities and behaviour support strategies
* Provide emotional support and promote positive behaviour and self-esteem
* Assist in creating a safe, engaging, and inclusive learning environment
* Liaise with staff, families and external professionals to ensure holistic support
About You:
* Experience working with children with SEMH, SEN, or behavioural needs (school or care background)
* Calm, consistent, and nurturing approach to behaviour management
* Strong communication and teamwork skills
* Resilient, flexible, and passionate about making a positive impact
* Relevant qualifications (e.g., Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant, Psychology, Youth Work) are desirable
