Senior Geologist Tetra Tech seeks a Senior Geologist to join our Technical Advisory subsurface team, delivering sedimentology and stratigraphy expertise across technical audits, reserve evaluations and lifecycle asset assessments. This role can be based hybrid in Woking or remote. Purpose and scope of the role: Daily activities include geological interpretation, model development, technical reporting and client presentations. You will produce clear, auditable deliverables that influence investment decisions and regulatory submissions. Your impact in this position: In the short term you will strengthen project delivery by applying advanced sedimentological and stratigraphic techniques to some of our projects. Over time you will lead workstreams on significant audits and redetermination projects, improving technical workflows and client outcomes. Longer term you will shape the teams technical strategy, develop internal knowledge assets and progress to recognised technical lead or principal geoscientist roles, with coaching and chartership support available. Core Capabilities: Technical Expertise - Demonstrable hands-on expertise in sedimentology and stratigraphy, with advanced interpretation and modelling skills. Reservoir evaluation & classification - Thorough understanding of resource classification systems and ability to critically appraise client assessments and reserves audits. Modelling & data integration - Proficiency integrating well data, seismic and petrophysics into robust geological and static models that withstand peer review. Client engagement & communication - Experience presenting technical findings to clients and stakeholders, translating complex geology into actionable recommendations. Leadership & mentoring - Proven ability to lead project workstreams, mentor junior geoscientists and contribute to a growing internal knowledge base. Training, qualifications & experience: Bachelors degree or higher in a geoscience discipline. Substantial industry experience in oil & gas geology work. Hands on technical knowledge in sedimentology/stratigraphy. Chartership desirable (but not essential) Work patterns & location Most of our team is based in Woking and our preference would someone willing to attend the office on a weekly basis.
