About the Role
The Senior Artworker is responsible for producing digital artworks, reprographics and colour separations for all print disciplines. This is a permanent, full‑time position (40 hours per week) based in Hull, UK, with three days in the office and two days working from home.
Responsibilities
* Build artwork files in adherence with the business’ standard working practices and client brand rules.
* Ensure Right‑First‑Time quality performance is achieved.
* Create print trial files and carry out colour retouching/colour correction for all print disciplines.
* Own the brand guidelines, including their creation, amendment and periodic review.
* Ensure brand consistency is maintained throughout the full project range across all production locations.
* Represent the artwork production team in project planning.
* Seek ways to optimise processes to improve quality and delivery.
* Participate in root cause and corrective‑action investigations.
Qualifications & Experience
* Experience in packaging artwork production.
* Proficiency with Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop and MS Office.
* Detailed understanding of print processes and reprographics applications.
* Ability to adapt a design to different components/sizes while keeping design intent.
* Ability to perform colour retouching for multiple print disciplines.
* Ability to visually inspect samples and determine necessary retouching/corrections to achieve the closest possible match.
* Ability to interpret complex guideline documents.
