Formulation Manager

In the No7 Beauty Company – Research & Development team based in Nottingham. You will work with a brand that values care, confidence, and connection.

What you’ll be doing

This is an exciting opportunity to lead one of our formulation teams, responsible for delivering innovation for our award‑winning and trusted brands.

You will report to the Head of Formulation and will be leading a team of Product Technologists to deliver the Global Brand NPD and EPD plans for your area of responsibility.

Key responsibilities

• Use your scientific expertise to work with our external supplier base to deliver finished formulations that delight our consumers.
• Lead and deliver formulation activities to ensure products are delivered on time and to cost targets.
• Own and manage project formulation timings and technical risks that impact delivery.
• Collaborate and build strong relationships with technical and commercial teams.
• Serve as a key technical contact for our manufacturing partners and product suppliers.

What you’ll need to have (our must-haves)

• A science degree with at least 5 years of experience in skincare formulation and product development.
• Technical know‑how to solve problems and create business opportunities that enhance consumer value.
• Ability to effectively communicate specialist technical information to a variety of audiences.
• Experience and confidence in engaging and influencing stakeholders within a cross‑functional team.
• Confidence in setting and working within quality systems.

It would be great if you also have

• Experience of managing individuals or teams is desirable.
• Experience in leading cross‑functional projects.
• Knowledge of regulatory requirements in the beauty industry.
