Job Title: Trainee Quantity Surveyor Location: Brierley Hill Salary: £27,500 - £32,000 per annum Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent About the Role An exciting opportunity has arisen for a motivated and detail-oriented Trainee Quantity Surveyor to join a well-established and growing construction business based in Brierley Hill. Key Responsibilities * Assisting senior surveyors in the preparation of tender and contract documents. * Measuring and estimating materials, labour and equipment costs. * Supporting the procurement process including issuing enquiries, analysing subcontractor quotes and placing orders. * Helping manage project budgets, monitor costs, and prepare financial reports. * Carrying out site visits and attending progress meetings. * Supporting the valuation of completed work and arranging payments. * Maintaining records and assisting with the preparation of final accounts. What We’re Looking For * A keen interest in construction and commercial management. * Excellent numerical and analytical skills. * Strong attention to detail and organisational ability. * Good communication and teamwork skills. * Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel. * A relevant qualification (or currently studying towards one) in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field is desirable but not essential. * A full UK driving licence is preferred.
