About the Role Athena Activities are looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Playworker to join our wraparound care team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with experience in childcare or education who is passionate about supporting children in a fun, safe, and nurturing environment. There is also the opportunity to increase hours during school holidays, with full-time hours (up to 30 per week) available during our holiday activity camps. Key Responsibilities Provide high-quality care and supervision for children in a breakfast club, after-school club and holiday activity camp setting. Create a safe, nurturing, and inclusive environment where children feel supported and valued. Plan and deliver engaging, stimulating, and age-appropriate activities. Support children’s social, emotional, and physical development. Build positive relationships with children, parents, school staff, and colleagues. Follow safeguarding, health and safety, and organisational policies at all times. Support the smooth day-to-day running of the provision. Required (essential): A Level 3 childcare or teaching qualification. Experience working with children in a play, childcare, school, or wraparound setting. A genuine passion for working with children and supporting their development. Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team. A strong understanding of safeguarding responsibilities.
