As an ITC Technician Apprentice, your key duties will include:
* ICT Maintenance & Repairs: Assist in maintaining and repairing ICT equipment and systems across the school
* Workstation Configuration: Help staff set up and configure workstations to ensure smooth performance
* User Support: Provide first-line support to staff and students on basic IT-related issues and resolve common technical problems
* Student Supervision: Supervise students in ICT rooms during break and lunch times, encouraging responsible use of equipment
* Pupil Welfare: Support basic first aid and student welfare tasks, following school procedures and liaising with parents and staff when necessary
* Data Backup & Security: Ensure systems are regularly backed up, data is archived as needed, and all sensitive information is stored securely in line with data protection policies
* Training Resources: Prepare resources and materials for staff ICT training sessions
General Expectations:
* Work in accordance with the school’s Financial Regulations, ICT policies, and Health & Safety guidelines
* Promote and uphold the school’s Equality & Diversity policies
* Take ownership of your own learning and development, supported by the school’s performance management framework
* Build strong internal and external relationships with staff, pupils, parents, and technology suppliers
* Maintain and promote a high standard of customer service and professionalism at all times
