Classroom Supervisor

Schools across Wiltshire are increasingly looking for confident and adaptable Classroom Supervisors to help keep lessons running smoothly when teachers are absent. If you enjoy working with young people, love a bit of variety in your day and want a role that genuinely makes a difference, this could be a great fit.
What you’ll be doing
1. Supervising classes when the teacher is away and guiding students through pre-prepared work
2. Keeping lessons calm, focused and purposeful so learning continues without disruption
3. Supporting a range of subjects and year groups, mainly KS3 and KS4
4. Taking registers, explaining tasks clearly and helping students stay on track
5. Pitching in with wider school duties when cover isn’t needed, such as small-group support, break duties or admin tasks
6. Following behaviour, safeguarding and wellbeing policies and being a reassuring, positive presence for students

7. Someone with clear communication skills, a calm manner and a genuine interest in supporting young people
8. Confident behaviour management and the ability to handle changes in routine with ease
9. Flexible, reliable and comfortable stepping into different classrooms and subjects

11. Committed to safeguarding and creating an inclusive, welcoming learning environment
