Salary: £75,000 – £80,000 per annum (dependent on experience)

About the Role
Teaching Personnel are working in partnership with a specialist SEMH (Social, Emotional and Mental Health) school in Bolton to appoint an Executive Headteacher on a permanent basis. This is an exciting opportunity for a strong, strategic leader with proven experience in specialist education to guide the school through its next phase of development.
The successful candidate will provide inspirational leadership, drive whole-school improvement, and ensure the highest standards of teaching, learning, and care across the setting. You will oversee a committed senior leadership team and work closely with governors, local authorities, and external partners to secure excellent outcomes for all pupils.

Key Responsibilities
* Provide dynamic and strategic leadership across the school, ensuring an inclusive and aspirational culture for all learners.
* Oversee and develop high-quality teaching, learning, and behaviour support tailored to SEMH and SEN needs.
* Lead on school improvement planning, performance management, and quality assurance.
* Manage staffing, budgets, and resources effectively to ensure sustainability and growth.
* Build strong partnerships with parents, carers, external agencies, and the local community.
* Uphold safeguarding and child protection standards at all times.

Requirements
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
* Minimum 2 years of leadership experience within an SEMH or SEN setting.
* Proven ability to lead improvement and raise standards in specialist or alternative provision.
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a collaborative leadership style.
* Commitment to inclusive education and a passion for supporting children with additional needs.
