We are looking for a Production Operations Manager to oversee day-to-day manufacturing operations to ensure the safe, efficient, and compliant production of pharmaceutical products. This role leads production teams, optimizes manufacturing performance, and ensures adherence to cGMP standards, company policies, and regulatory requirements. The Production Operations Manager plays a key role in achieving production targets, driving process improvements, and fostering a culture of quality, safety, and continuous improvement. As Production Operations Manager, your responsibilities will include, although not limited to: Manage and coordinate daily production activities to meet production schedules, quality standards, and cost objectives. Ensure manufacturing processes are executed according to approved batch records, SOPs, and cGMP requirements. Oversee equipment utilisation, maintenance, and calibration in collaboration with site teams. Monitor process performance and implement corrective or preventive actions as needed. Coordinate with Customer Services, Warehouse, Quality, and Supply Chain to ensure smooth material flow and timely product release. Lead, mentor, and develop production team leads, technicians and warehouse personnel to achieve operational excellence. Foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement. Identify training needs and ensure adequate staff qualification and cross-training. Ensure compliance with cGMP, GDP, EH&S, and internal policies at all times. Participate in deviation investigations, CAPA implementation, and change control processes. Support regulatory inspections and internal audits, providing accurate documentation and responses. Review and approve production documentation including batch manufacturing records and logbooks. Collaborate with Formulation and Quality Assurance to optimise processes and resolve production challenges. Track and report on production KPIs such as yield, efficiency, downtime, and batch performance. To be successful in this role, you should be able to demonstrate: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Pharmacy or related field. Minimum 5–8 years of GMP experience in the pharmaceutical industry. Proven operations in managing productions operations under GMP. Proven experience in manufacturing ERP systems and data driven decisions. Excellent organisation and problem solving skills. Strong communication, leadership, and mentoring skills. Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities under tight timelines.
