Air Freight Specialist: A Critical Role in Global Supply Chain Management
Salary:
* Up to £38,000 depending on experience
The ideal candidate will have previous experience in air freight forwarding, covering both import and export operations. Strong understanding of customs procedures, documentation requirements, and airline handling processes is essential. Familiarity with systems such as Cargowise, CNS, and CDS is also required.
Key Responsibilities:
* Handle end-to-end coordination of air freight shipments for both imports and exports
* Prepare and process all relevant documentation including AWBs, commercial invoices, packing lists, and customs entries
* Liaise with airlines, ground handlers, overseas agents, and customers to ensure the smooth and timely movement of cargo
* Track and monitor shipments, resolving any delays or issues proactively
* Ensure compliance with HMRC regulations, aviation security protocols, and company policies
* Work closely with internal departments including transport and warehousing to maintain efficient operations
