Job Description : The main duties will be run multiple 5 Axis machines to manufacture Pistons for sports super & hyper car manufacturers. Additionally, you will Set & operate other machines as part of the piston manufacturing process, Read and edit programs as required to perform operations. Conduct quality control checks using a variety of measurement equipment. Inspect and maintain machinery, tooling and equipment to ensure parts produced conform to specification and minimize production downtime. The Role: Set and Operate multiple DMG machines in the piston department. Perform Manual manufacturing operations. Manufacture/Modify pistons to support internal/external engine development programs. Be able to use measuring equipment to ensure component compliance. Mentor and instruct Juniors & apprentices to perform manufacturing operation. Be committed to continuous improvement and suggest improvements regarding methods, processes, and tooling. Support the Company’s compliance with the Data Protection Act 2018, following policy and best practice. Candidate Profile: Ability to read, interpret and communicate technical information. Be conversant with machine Code, Heidenhain 530I & 640 preferred Ability to use Fanuc based machines such as Hitachi Seiki and Matsuura advantageous but not essential. Ability to problem solve and see errors in NC code. Basic numerical and computer skills. Effective communicator both verbal and written. Committed and enthusiastic. Automotive engineering experience/background. You will be contracted to 39 hours per week. Early shift: Monday to Thursday - 06:00am to 14:00pm Friday - 06:00am to 13:00pm Late shift: Monday to Thursday - 14:00pm to 22:00pm Friday - 13:00pm to 20:00pm
