Role: Test Technician
Location: Wellingborough
Hours: Monday to Friday
Salary: £28,000 - £30,000 per annum
OA are currently looking to recruit for an experienced Test Technician to join a well-established client based in Wellingborough.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with an electrical, electronics, diagnostics or repair background who enjoys fault-finding, hands-on technical work and working within a fast-paced environment focused on continuous improvement.

Duties of a Test Technician:
7. Test and diagnose customer returned equipment using automated and manual test systems
8. Accurately identify and confirm reported faults
9. Record repair and diagnostic information accurately within internal systems
10. Disassemble, reassemble, clean and prepare returned products
11. Configure and re-configure hardware for manual testing where required
12. Carry out visual inspections in line with quality standards and inspection criteria
13. Support reduction of “No Fault Found” outcomes through accurate diagnostics
14. Highlight technical, quality or process concerns to Engineering and Management teams
15. Support continuous improvement initiatives across testing and repair processes
16. Provide support and cross-training to colleagues when required
17. Assist other operational and technical areas of the business as needed
What we would like from you:
18. Previous experience within Electronics, Electrical Testing, Diagnostics or similar background
19. Ability to work and learn in a fast-paced environment focused on continuous improvement
20. Good degree of computer literacy to use Microsoft Office
21. Able to use measurement instrumentation such as Spectrum Analyser, oscilloscope or multi-meters will be beneficial.
22. The ability to use hand/power tools
23. Automated test experience would be beneficial
24. Have the ability to work effectively in a team environment and have good interpersonal skills
25. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
