What You'll Be Doing
* Own server infrastructure (Windows/Linux) across a multi‑site environment
* Deliver 2nd/3rd line support for complex incidents and escalation
* Manage virtualisation platforms (VMware / Hyper‑V)
* Maintain backup, disaster recovery & business continuity strategies
* Ensure system security, patching & compliance across all servers
* Build and optimise file, print & storage services
* Support project rollouts, migrations & infrastructure upgrades
* Troubleshoot deeply – from OS to hardware to network layers
Deep understanding of:
* Strong server engineering experience (Windows Server + Linux)
* Solid virtualisation expertise (VMware / Hyper‑V)
* Storage, backup & restore processes
* Patch management & system security
* Networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP)
* Proven ability to debug complex infrastructure issues end‑to‑end
* Experience working in high‑availability / mission‑critical environments
* Confident delivering 3rd line support and owning incidents
* Experience with enterprise server hardware (maintenance, upgrades, replacements)
* Familiarity with Azure / Microsoft ecosystem
* Working knowledge of ITIL practices and service management
* Experience in regulated environments (e.g. healthcare or similar)
* Relevant certifications (Microsoft, VMware, CompTIA or equivalent experience)
