Job Description:

The Technical Manager (Building) is responsible for leading a team of Maintenance Engineers and Operatives in maintaining the estate's compliance with statutory regulations and service level agreements. This involves planning and directing Engineers and Operatives to carry out reactive and planned preventative maintenance (PPM), ensuring building and fire compliance meeting locking policy and spare key safe management. The role also includes planning and monitoring local and national contracts.

Responsibilities:

* Leading a team of Maintenance Engineers and Operatives to ensure estate compliance with statutory regulations and service level agreements

* Planning and directing Engineers and Operatives to carry out reactive and planned preventative maintenance (PPM)

* Managing the maintenance team workload through our computerised maintenance management system (CMMS)

* Planning and monitoring local and national contracts

* Providing support, advice, and direction to others in carrying out installation works or complex repairs

Required Skills and Qualifications:
">
To be successful in this role, you should have:
">
">
* A recognised apprenticeship and obtained a qualification in a relevant building related discipline such as Carpentry & Joinery to a minimum of SVQ Level 3 or equivalent
">
* Experience of building maintenance and repair work in meeting fire and locking compliance
">
* Experience of providing support, advice, and direction to others in carrying out installation works or complex repairs
">
* Evidence of excellent organisational skills, demonstrating ability to prioritise, forward plan, and manage competing demands to ensure outputs are delivered on time
">
* Sound knowledge of relevant legislation including Health & Safety, Safe Systems of Work, Building, and work to locking policy and spare key safe management
">
* Evidence of excellent problem-solving skills and ability to provide practical and creative solutions to a range of resourcing and technical issues
