The role of Caretaker will include:
1. Provide an effective estate maintenance service by undertaking caretaking, cleaning, basic repair and grounds maintenance duties in accordance with local and legislative procedures to meet customer and organisational needs.
2. Carrying out compliance testing
3. Working with customers to resolve issues and improve services
4. Completing all documents and paperwork concerning tasks completed
5. There will be some cleaning tasks, with the addition to support the maintenance team and could involve changing light bulbs, changing toilet seats and collecting bulk waste within communal areas only.
6. Ensure tools and equipment are maintained in good condition and used in line with policies and procedures and relevant regulations, reporting faults, hazards and inappropriate practice promptly, to ensure a safe living and working environment.
Skills and experiences:
7. Experience in a similar role or completing similar tasks
8. Knowledge of cleaning and caretaking, and an understanding of COSHH and Risk Assessments
9. Practical experience of carrying out risk assessments
10. Practical experience in operating hand tools and light machinery
11. Working knowledge of Health and Safety legislation
12. This role will involve driving on company business. In order to drive a company vehicle, drivers must hold a full valid UK driving licence
