About the Role
We are looking for a qualified Sonographer with experience in General and Gynaecology, and small parts, to join our small friendly team at The Belford Hospital in Fort William and Broadford Hospital, Skye. Vascular and MSK experience is desirable but not essential.
The Belford Hospital is a busy rural general hospital in Fort William with a busy 24‑hour Emergency Department and a large geographical catch‑ment area. Broadford Hospital, an enhanced community hospital on Skye, opened in May 2022 and offers 24‑hour emergency services.
Responsibilities
* Participate in the day‑to‑day running of the Ultrasound Scanning service at The Belford Hospital and, in conjunction with existing Sonographers, at Broadford Hospital.
* Provide ultrasound care across a range of examinations, including general, gynaecology and small parts.
* Support coverage for both hospitals as required.
Qualifications
* HCPC‑registered Radiographer or relevant professional qualification.
* Postgraduate CASE accredited qualification in medical ultrasound.
* Demonstrated clinical competence across a range of ultrasound examinations.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Proactive and collaborative approach to service delivery and staff development.
