Your Role as our Mid-day Supervisor in Retford:
As the crucial link between the classroom and the playground, you will be responsible for supervising pupils throughout the lunch period. Your key duties will include:
Actively supervising children in the dining hall, promoting positive eating habits and a social atmosphere.
Managing and engaging with pupils during outdoor and indoor play, ensuring a safe and inclusive environment for all.
Upholding school behaviour policies and encouraging positive interactions.
Taking responsibility for the safety and well-being of all pupils in the teacher's absence.
Assisting with minor first aid incidents and reporting any concerns, following robust safeguarding procedures.Is this the right Mid-day Supervisor role for you in Retford?
Do you have?
A natural ability to build rapport and positive relationships with children of primary age.
A firm understanding of, and commitment to, safeguarding and child welfare.
Resilience, initiative, and strong leadership qualities to manage groups effectively.
Excellent verbal communication skills to interact with children, teaching staff, and our agency.While not essential, the following would be highly advantageous:
A paediatric first aid qualification.
Previous experience in a school, nursery, or similar childcare setting.
A genuine passion for education and a desire to build a long-term career in the sector.
