The role
As the business continues to strengthen its market presence across Ireland and the UK, this Finance Director role will be instrumental in shaping the financial strategy and supporting long-term commercial objectives. Reporting directly to the Chief Executive Officer, the successful candidate will lead the finance function, drive performance through enhanced financial reporting and controls, and provide the strategic insight required to support continued expansion. This represents an excellent opportunity for an ambitious finance professional who is looking to play a key role in influencing business performance and contributing at board level. Key Responsibilities Lead the annual budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning cycles, ensuring alignment with the organisation's strategic goals. Provide both strategic financial leadership and hands-on oversight of day to day finance operations. Deliver timely and accurate management accounts, statutory financial reporting, and coordinate year-end audit processes across multiple jurisdictions. Develop and strengthen financial controls, governance frameworks, and reporting standards within a regulated business environment. Drive continuous improvement across financial systems, processes, and reporting capabilities to support organisational growth. Partner with senior stakeholders to provide commercial analysis, financial modelling, and actionable insights that support decision-making. Candidate Profile Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent). Proven track record in a senior finance leadership role, such as Financial Controller, Head of Finance, or Finance Director. Strong commercial acumen Experience preparing and presenting financial information to executive teams and boards. Experience within a multi-site, multi-entity, or cross-border organisation would be highly desirable.
