Senior Legal Counsel at a Global Elite Fund, Central London
* Rare opportunity to join a highly prestigious global elite fund.
* Fantastic role as the sole legal counsel in the UK, working within the small team of a portfolio company owned by a prestigious fund.
* As a senior lawyer with a finance/restructuring background, you will advise on the legal aspects of the distressed assets being acquired by that company in the UK and Europe, instructing and managing external counsel as necessary.
* You will report to the GC and work with another senior legal counsel at the fund, as necessary.
* Office located in central London - 4 days required in the office and 1 WFH.
Requirements
* Senior lawyer qualified in the UK/US/Europe.
* At least 5 years post-qualification experience acquired at a City firm, preferably from a department dealing regularly with distressed assets/securitisations.
* In-house experience preferred but not essential.
* Confident with issue-spotting and legal analysis.
* Motivated and confident self-starter.
* Diligent lawyer with good attention to detail and organisational skills.
* Strong inter-personal skills which will facilitate working well with the business team, other legal counterparts and external counsel.
