About The Role
In your role as an Activities Co-ordinator at HC-One, kindness will be at the core of everything you do. It influences every aspect of our Dementia, Nursing, Residential, and Specialist care homes. Everyone here understands that our Residents are individuals with their own stories, just like them. Joining HC-One offers a wonderful opportunity to give back to these individuals.
As an Activities Co-ordinator, you will plan and implement activities that delight our Residents. You will also assist the Home Manager in organizing essential fundraising events. Whether you're encouraging Residents to socialize more confidently, developing new activity ideas based on their hobbies, or involving the care team, you will do so with kindness above all else.
We seek someone with experience working with vulnerable individuals, preferably in developing activity programs. Your positive energy, ability to connect with people, excellent planning, organizational, and IT skills are essential. You should manage your time effectively and communicate considerately and kindly with Residents and colleagues.
Safeguarding is everyone's responsibility. You should recognize signs of abuse, harm, or neglect and know how to act on concerns. All staff are required to attend safeguarding training and other relevant courses. You should also be able to seek advice and escalate concerns when necessary.
We will provide full training, offering a great opportunity to learn new skills. In return, you'll enjoy a wide range of benefits supporting your well-being and career development, including:
* Competitive hourly rate based on experience and qualifications.
* Paid Enhanced DBS/PVG check.
* Free uniform.
* A nutritious meal during shifts of eight hours or more.
* Company pension scheme.
* 28 days of annual leave, including bank holidays.
* Group life assurance cover.
* Wagestream for financial well-being and flexible pay access.
* Outstanding learning and development opportunities, including qualifications.
* GP online service for 24/7 virtual consultations, available for you and your children under 16.
