Job Title: Finance Operations Team Leader Reporting to: Finance Operations Manager Location: Birmingham Salary £33000 - 36,000 Job Purpose As part of the BCA Logistics Finance Team, the purpose of this role is to ensure: All self-employed/employed contractor paperwork and any other payment-related queries are processed accurately, on time, and in line with company policies and procedures. Scope of the Role Leading and developing a team of admin clerks. Ensuring all contractor paperwork is checked and cleared for payment promptly. Processing driver adjustments to ensure accurate, timely payment of self-employed drivers. Communicating clearly and professionally, both verbally and in writing, with internal and external stakeholders, including senior management. Promoting an efficient and positive image of BCA Logistics to all sub-contractors and self-employed drivers. Main Duties & Responsibilities Overseeing a team of 14 staff. Conducting regular one-to-one meetings with team members. Managing team timekeeping and attendance. Assisting with the clearing of paperwork and EVO documents. Identifying and implementing process improvements. Checking that additional charges (e.g. fuel) meet BCA guidelines and are supported by valid receipts. Managing and resolving queries through communication with contractors and the internal logistics operations team. Overseeing and responding to internal and external email queries in a professional manner. Producing, reviewing, and resolving a weekly report of all uncleared jobs. Producing reports for KPIs and attending regular operational meetings. Key Skills & Attributes Professional approach with a strong sense of ownership and responsibility.
