Your impact
Jacobs is committed to playing a leadership role in the Global energy transition. Our Energy & Power team provides a range of services to the Energy & Power, Buildings & Infrastructure and Advanced Facilities markets, including work on transmission system assets, HVDC interconnectors, energy storage systems, renewable generation and cross‑market infrastructure.
Responsibilities
* Active market engagement and client relationship management to grow the BESS portfolio/pipeline, with support from the Business Development team.
* Leadership on project development, including site layouts and optimisation, concept design and feasibility studies.
* Leading on project advisory and Owner’s Engineer scopes of work, including tendering and contracting support, construction monitoring and management, and technical services.
* Leading Technical Due Diligence and Lender’s Technical Advisor scopes of work.
* Building and developing a BESS team.
Qualifications
* Degree qualified in Engineering or equivalent qualifications and experience.
* Track record of leading the delivery of Front‑End Engineering and design or Detailed design of BESS projects.
* In‑depth knowledge of the UK & Continental Europe BESS market and key growth areas, and global market insight.
* Extensive design consultancy experience, delivering to organisations such as Developers, Contractors and TSO/DSOs.
* Ability to effectively lead, manage and grow diverse teams.
* Ability to communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
* Ability to maintain existing and develop new client relationships.
* Experience in coaching and developing junior talent.
* Flexibility to travel to client sites when required.
* Capability to work under tight deadlines while achieving objectives with the ability to deal with competing priorities and manage time appropriately.
