Under the inspiring leadership of our General Manager, Jake McHugh, you will assist in leading our team, ensuring smooth day-to-day supervision of our busy Food and Beverage department. We are committed to supporting your development through a wide range of learning and development opportunities.
The ideal candidate will have experience in a busy Food and Beverage environment and be capable of leading, motivating, and supporting team members to succeed. The position involves working 35 hours per week (excluding breaks), across five shifts out of seven, including weekends, covering breakfast, lunch, and dinner hours.
The salary for this full-time role is £25,480.00 per annum.

About The Role
You will be responsible for supervising the Food and Beverage service to ensure guests' enjoyment and maximize hotel profits.
1. Supervise the food and beverage team, ensuring efficient operation and delivery of Hastings standards.
2. Promote a respectful and harmonious working environment.
3. Ensure quality standards and procedures are understood and followed.
4. Monitor cash handling, stock control, and ordering policies.
5. Provide training and coaching to staff to uphold service standards.
6. Ensure staff work to trained standards, providing feedback for improvement.
7. Ensure staff are knowledgeable about hotel facilities and proactively promote services.
8. Assist guests with hotel services and respond to their requests.
9. Handle guest complaints effectively and find appropriate solutions.
10. Maintain communication and good relationships with other departments and suppliers.
11. Ensure security of food, beverage, and storage areas.
12. Maintain the presentation and maintenance of food and beverage areas and equipment.
13. Uphold health, safety, fire, hygiene, and security legislation and policies.
14. Comply with licensing laws, Customs and Excise Regulations, and relevant legislation.
15. Perform any other duties as required by management.
About You
Previous relevant experience in a similar role is preferred.

Desired Criteria
* Previous supervisory experience in a similar quality establishment.

* Right to Work in the UK.
* GCSEs or equivalent with grades A-C in English and Maths.
* Experience in Food and Beverage roles.

* Good communication and numeracy skills.
* Attention to detail.
* Ability to work under pressure and be a team player.
