About the role
As a Loss Prevention Partner (LPP) in our Profit Protection team, you'll contribute to the efficiency and profitability of the shop where you are based and be an essential part of the team. Your responsibilities will include investigating trends and reporting on key themes related to shrinkage to safeguard our profits. You will also protect your colleagues and customers by patrolling the shop floor to deter theft and monitoring CCTV for suspicious activity.
Due to the nature of the role, you must be 18 years or older. You will work on a rota, including evenings and weekends, with various shifts.
Key Responsibilities
* Be the point of contact for branch Profit Protection issues and escalate as needed.
* Mitigate risks of malicious harm to Partners and Customers.
* Manage shrinkage performance within budget and risk appetite.
* Address all aspects of shrinkage, including dishonesty, procedural failures, and errors.
* Support and coach Partners to minimize shrinkage and follow procedures.
* De-escalate conflicts professionally; may involve detaining or banning individuals.
* Assist with investigations as required.
Essential Skills/Experience
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
* Confidence in resolving conflicts.
* Strong attention to detail and ability to identify trends and signs of loss.
* Good customer service and relationship-building skills.
Desirable Skills/Experience
Previous experience in loss prevention or a customer-facing role is beneficial but not essential, as comprehensive training will be provided.
