At Babcock, we’re working to create a safe and secure world. Join us as an Assistant Project Manager at our Devonport Royal Dockyard site.
The role
As an Assistant Project Manager, you’ll oversee infrastructure projects supporting MOD ship and submarine operations, including docking and berthing facilities for the Astute Class submarines. You will manage service subways and heavy civils infrastructure designs, collaborating with stakeholders to ensure operational capabilities.
* Assist the Project/Package Manager in managing facility design contracts, schedules, scope, finances, risks, and documentation.
* Support technical and project teams in defining requirements and solutions for work packages.
* Translate supply chain reports into actionable data and manage budgets.
* Develop stakeholder management and communication plans.
* Oversee risk management processes, including risk assessment and mitigation.
This role is full-time (35 hours/week) with hybrid working arrangements.
Essential experience
* Experience with client-side NEC4 contracts.
* Familiarity with complex document management systems.
* Experience in the civils construction industry.
* Experience with nuclear safety-related structures, equipment, or services on nuclear licensed sites is advantageous.
Qualifications
Security Clearance: Must be a sole UK national able to obtain and maintain SC, DV, CTC, or NNPPI clearance. Eligibility may be affected by nationality, place of birth, or residency.
