 
        
        Product Safety Engineer (Glasgow/Green Park)

Key Responsibilities
 * Identify to the Safety Authority any concerns regarding the safety of a product, or the application of policies and processes.
 * Generate safety artefacts required to support the product safety argument, such as Safety & Environmental Management Plans, Hazard Logs and Safety & Environmental Case Reports.
 * Facilitate appropriate hazard/risk identification including functional failure analysis, FMEA, Fault & Event Tree Analysis.
 * Develop product safety requirements and support Project Design Authorities in achieving compliance with applicable legislation, regulations and standards.
 * Assist in generating reasonable bid estimates and peer‑review product safety‑related artefacts generated by others.
 * Manage multiple safety programmes, scheduling and interacting with stakeholders.
 * Support the development and delivery of Product Safety training material.
 * Support the safety team and wider organisation, including providing reliability, environmental and materials analysis when required.

 * Experience in the implementation and delivery of Product and System Safety Engineering activities.
 * Ability to build positive and effective relationships with stakeholders, including team members and customers.
 * Attention to detail and willingness to learn.
 * Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Security Clearance
This role will require SC Clearance. It would be advantageous to already hold it; if not, the successful applicant must undergo, achieve and maintain SC Clearance. For guidance, please visit the UKSV website. Typically, full SC requires the applicant to have resided in the UK for the last 5 years.
