About The Role
As a Senior Care Assistant at HC One, kindness will be at the core of everything you do. It influences every aspect of our Dementia, Nursing, Residential, and Specialist care homes. Every team member understands that our residents are individuals with their own stories, and by joining us, you'll have a wonderful opportunity to give back to them.
Your responsibilities will include planning and implementing care that provides residents with security, dignity, and independence. You will get to know residents and their families to deliver personalized care plans. Leading a team of Care Assistants, you will maintain high standards of care and influence your team positively. Your tasks may include showing how to use mobility aids, assisting at mealtimes, or communicating with families, always with kindness.
Assisting the Registered Nurse and Care Manager, you'll help provide physical and mental stimulation through social and recreational activities, and administer medication. An essential part of your role as a Senior Care Assistant is to keep accurate records and foster strong team relationships.
Ideally, you will have completed a Level 2 Diploma in Adult Care and be willing to work towards a Level 3 qualification or equivalent. Experience in person-centered care planning and caring for people with dementia is preferred. The key qualities we seek are positive energy, the ability to get along with people, good record-keeping skills, effective time management, and a considerate, kind communication style.
