About The Role
Handley House is seeking a Caretaker with solid experience in maintenance, building, DIY, cleaning, and housekeeping. Technical knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems is required, along with ideally some IT skills. You should communicate considerately and kindly with residents and colleagues.
As a Caretaker, you will ensure residents live in a proactively inspected and well-maintained environment. Your responsibilities include carrying out audits, maintaining records, and performing maintenance tasks such as replacing taps, fitting extractor fans, repairing windows, or putting up wallpaper, always with kindness.
Safeguarding is everyone's responsibility. You must recognize signs of abuse, harm, or neglect and know the procedures to follow if concerns arise. All colleagues are required to attend safeguarding training and undertake additional relevant training, with the ability to seek advice and escalate concerns as needed.
