This role will entail working closely with the Head of Marketing and Communications, Digital & CRM Manager and the Digital & CRM Assistant to create impactful Marketing & PR campaigns to communicate the aims and activities of Bradford Culture Company to a variety of audiences.
Following the success of Bradford2025 UK City of Culture, Bradford Council is looking to the future of culture, creativity and the arts in Bradford.
In line with their Culture Is Our Plan 10‑year strategy, the Council is now looking to put in place a new structure to build on the achievements of Bradford2025 and secure its lasting legacy.
Bradford Council has now committed to fund Bradford Culture Company (BCC) until March 2027. At the same time, this team will continue to wrap up Bradford 2025 by completing necessary work in such areas as finance, evaluation and reporting.
The extension of BCC’s mandate will allow us to support the district’s growth strategy, retain and extend key partnerships, source new investment and continue to build Bradford’s newly boosted cultural profile.
We’re now building a dedicated, passionate and enthusiastic team to deliver this transitional year.
Key Responsibilities
General
* Plan and deliver effective multi‑channel campaigns that will attract local and national audiences to Bradford Culture Company’s events.
* Create high‑quality written, audio and video content in adherence to our brand values and guidelines for use across a variety of platforms and stakeholders; e.g. marketing, press, social media, website, reports.
Marketing & Press
* Lead marketing & PR campaigns in adherence with the Audiences strategy.
* Create compelling print and digital content for Marketing and PR campaigns.
* Work with designers, printers and media partners to produce and distribute high‑quality promotional materials.
* Identify and monitor key cultural and community influencers and bloggers in partnership with the Digital & CRM Assistant.
* Monitor campaign performance and use data insights to inform future activity.
* Manage media and PR events and activities including press launches, interviews and photo‑calls.
* Monitor Bradford Culture Company’s presence in the media ensuring systems are in place for accurate reporting.
* Adhere to our brand voice, house style and digital accessibility guidelines.
* Work with cultural partners to amplify Bradford District’s cultural offers.
Ticketing
Support the Operations and Ticketing teams to provide customer service for our ticketed programme. This will include:
* Joining a team rota to provide phone / counter service to our customers, providing helpful and positive responses to all queries and feedback digitally, face to face and over the phone, and escalating queries to senior staff where appropriate.
* Processing customer orders, reservations and donations, using payment methods including credit / debit cards and cash, in accordance with GDPR and PCI regulations.
Admin
* Maintain accurate contacts and lists within the CRM system.
* With the Digital & CRM Assistant maintain the Bradford Culture Company website and media library.
* Provide administrative support for financial processes including efficient and accurate raising and tracking of purchase orders, processing of invoices and reconciliations.
* Oversee the press inbox, ensuring enquiries are dealt with in a timely fashion.
There will be some occasional weekend and evening work required in line with the organisation’s activities.
Requirements
Essential
* Minimum of 1‑3 years’ experience in a marketing, PR or social media role.
* Strong written and verbal communication skills, with experience in writing promotional copy.
* Comfortable using digital tools and platforms for marketing and administration.
* Ability to work independently and flexibly in a small team.
* Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
* Interested in art and culture, and an understanding of Bradford Culture Company’s mission.
* A demonstrable, strong understanding of Bradford District.
* Solutions focussed with a proactive and positive outlook.
* Inquisitive, meticulous and detail‑oriented.
Desirable
* Experience of working within a cultural organisation.
* Proven experience in delivering successful marketing campaigns.
* Good understanding of digital marketing channels and analytics tools.
* Experience managing PR activity and media relations.
