We're working with a long-established construction consultancy that has over six decades of experience delivering quantity surveying, M&E and project management services. Key Responsibilities of the Senior Quantity Surveyor:
Managing cost plans and budgets from early feasibility through to final account
Monitoring, forecasting and reporting on project costs
Providing clear commercial advice to clients and project teams
Identifying and managing risk while ensuring best value outcomes
Preparing and reviewing tender documentation and contractual agreements
Assessing variations, handling commercial negotiations and resolving contract matters
Undertaking site visits to monitor progress and proactively address issues
Working closely with multidisciplinary teams to ensure successful project deliveryRequirements:
A minimum of 5 years' post-qualification experience in quantity surveying
Degree-qualified and/or professionally accredited (RICS or equivalent)
MRICS chartered status or working towards it
Strong background in cost management and contract administration
Competent with JCT and NEC contracts
Experience working across both public and private sector projects
Confident communicator with strong negotiation skills
Able to manage multiple commissions and deadlines effectively
Detail-oriented with strong analytical capability
Competent with MS Office and relevant cost management software
Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle for site visits
