About the role
Fichtner is a global engineering consultancy established in 1922 with over 2000 employees across 170 countries. Our UK and Ireland engineers and consultants support innovative energy projects including thermal power plants, battery storage, solar, wind, pumped storage, and carbon capture.
Project Portfolio
* 60 major thermal power plants across the waste, biomass, and conventional power sectors
* 10 GWh of battery storage
* 5 GW of solar
* 7 GW of on‑shore and off‑shore wind
* 5 GWh of pumped storage hydro projects
* 20 carbon capture projects, aiming to capture and permanently sequestrate more than 5 million tonnes of CO2 per annum
Responsibilities
* Provide purchase ledger, expense management for 190 staff, and general administrative support.
* Maintain mileage VAT knowledge.
* Use bespoke dashboards to provide monthly reporting and coordinate team information.
* Support financial administration as part of a small, visible, and busy finance team.
Qualifications
* AAT level 2 accounting qualification.
* Maths and English Language GCSE grades A-C (9-7) or equivalent.
* Confident user of Microsoft Office 365, particularly Excel (experience with Business Central is a plus).
* Strong communication skills and professional personality.
* Keen to learn new software and business tools and progress with further AAT qualifications.
