Our client is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Accounts Assistant to join their finance team on a permanent basis. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with prior accounts experience who is looking to develop their skills within a supportive and professional office environment.
Responsibilities:
Managing the purchase ledger using Sage
Processing supplier invoices and handling invoice queries
Maintaining and updating the sales ledger
Posting transactions to the nominal ledger
Assisting with reconciliations and general bookkeeping tasks
Supporting the finance team with administrative duties
Maintaining accurate financial records and documentation
Assisting with ad-hoc accounts and office administration tasks as required
Requirements:
Previous experience in an accounts or finance assistant role
Experience using Sage accounting software is essential
Good understanding of purchase ledger, sales ledger, and nominal ledger
Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy
Well organised with the ability to manage multiple tasks
Confident communicator and effective team player
