Towy Vets, Carmarthen, is a small animal specialist practice with a passionate team of vets, nurses, PCAs and receptionists. We are a modern practice with a wide range of facilities that give you the tools to deliver outstanding care. Our friendly, collaborative environment supports everyone in providing the best care for animals.
The practice is open 8:15 am–6:15 pm Monday to Friday with 1:3 Saturdays 8:15 am–12:15 pm, shared amongst the team. We are well equipped with digital X‑ray, ultrasound, in‑house lab and separate cat and dog wards. We hold a Practice Standards Outstanding Client Service Award and are accredited as an RCVS General Practice. We are working towards additional Practice Standards Schemes.
This position would suit an experienced small animal vet, preferably with a minimum of 2+ years’ experience. The role involves primary care, inpatient care, medical work‑ups and surgery. A strong medical knowledge is required, along with experience in routine and emergency surgery. Good communication skills and a passion to deliver excellent care and client service are essential.
