Hours:35 hours per week, flexible and hybrid working can be considered with a minimum of 2 days per week in Head Office.Closing Date:Tue, 12 Aug 2025We've got a great opportunity for someone to join our marketing team for 12 months as our Digital Marketing Strategy and Planning Lead.We're looking for an experienced marketing planner with financial services experience, who can lead the strategy and planning the Society's digital marketing and customer acquisition plans, specifically for our Money business (Savings and Financial Advice).This key role ensures we're managing and optimising our new member acquisition activity in a cost-effective way. You'll be leading the development of our plans across digital and traditional channels, including social media, working closely with our media agency to ensure we optimise our spend and achieve targets.You'll also play a key role in leading wider campaign planning, and ensuring that all areas within the marketing function stay aligned and coordinated. Key accountabilities include:Lead the planning of new member acquisition activity to drive customer acquisition and personalisation strategy - ensuring consistency across all touchpoints and alignment with wider Brand campaign deliveryWork closely and collaboratively with the Societies media agency, across digital and traditional customer acquisition channels to create campaign and media plans that deliver the best return on our Marketing investmentBe the planning lead on MarComms campaign development, coordinating stakeholders from across CMO and wider business to ensure campaigns are developed that deliver on KPI's and are delivered on scheduleValidate and ensure media schedules deliver on commercial objectives and key KPI'sProvide detailed performance reporting to senior leadership, offering actionable insights and recommendations to improve campaign effectivenessContinuously analyse and optimise campaigns, applying a test-and-learn approach to drive improvementsManage a multi-£m acquisition marketing budget, ensuring efficient use of resources and meeting commercial objectivesDrive innovation, and in conjunction with our Marketing Technology team, leverage our MarTech to deliver innovative campaigns and take advantage of new opportunities in the digital marketing technology landscape What Do We Need From You? To be successful in this role you'll need to have:Significant experience in planning, developing, and executing new customer acquisition activity for a large organisationStrong experience of working with a Media Agency, managing the relationship and ensuring a collaborative but commercially focussed relationship is establishedA strong data and marketing technology understanding with a solid background in targeting, segmentation, and performance measurementExperience in planning large scale marketing campaigns, juggling multiple projects, stakeholders, and priorities at any one timeStrong understanding of marketing technology and Social media platforms
