Apprentice CNC Machinist
Location: Near Woking, Surrey
Salary: £7.55ph (Apprenticeship Wage)
Hours: Monday to Friday, 07:30am – 4:30pm
Start Date: September 2025 - Applications being collected now and interviews set up for late May / Early June.

One of our longstanding clients, a leading engineering manufacturer near Woking, is looking for a motivated individual to join their team as an Apprentice CNC Machinist. This is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience working in a busy machine shop while completing a Level 3 Engineering Technician apprenticeship. Training is delivered via day release at Farnborough College of Technology.
What You’ll Learn:
How to programme, set and operate a range of CNC lathes and milling machines (2, 3 & 4 axis)
Reading and interpreting engineering drawings and route cards
Working with various materials such as stainless steel, aluminium, brass and plastics
Inspecting machined components using manual gauges and CMM equipmentWhat We’re Looking For:
GCSE Grade C/4 or above in Maths and English (or equivalent)
A strong interest in engineering and CNC machining
A hands-on attitude and willingness to learn
Teamworking skills and good communication
Ability to commit to both practical and classroom-based learningAdditional Requirements:
Ideally 18+ by September 2025
Able to travel to both the client’s site near Woking and Farnborough College
Proactive and enthusiastic about long-term developmentWhat’s on Offer:
£15,704 annual salary (based on 2025 apprentice rates)
Monthly production bonus (~3–4% of salary)
24 days holiday + bank holidays
