Overview
Mental Health Treatment Requirement Nurse role within the Criminal Justice & Liaison & Diversion (CJLD) service. The role focuses on the Mental Health Treatment Requirement (MHTR) pathway, working with colleagues in the Probation and Courts Service.
CJLD aims to improve health and justice outcomes for adults in contact with the criminal justice system, integrating with health, social, and voluntary support agencies. MHTR is a court-ordered treatment option designed to help people with mental health difficulties while receiving a sentence, delivered under the direction of the Clinical Psychologist as part of a psychologically led service offering psychosocial interventions in community sentences.
You will join a dedicated team that makes a difference to patients, carers and the teams you work with.
Responsibilities
* Deliver evidence-based assessment and intervention and support the patient’s recovery journey.
* Work with agreed case formulations and plans of care, ensuring models of psychological intervention delivered are evidence based and relevant.
* Liaison and development and maintenance of robust relationships with partner agencies and involvement in overall CSTR process evaluation and development; ability to work collaboratively is essential.
* As this part of the service is in development, contribute under the guidance and supervision of the clinical psychologist to developing this pathway, directing and enabling new ways of working across professional and cultural boundaries and building relationships with key internal and external partners.
* Contribute to the effective running of the MHTR pathway in collaboration with the team.

Requirements
Qualified Nurse. Experience in mental health and the ability to work collaboratively within a multi-agency environment are desirable. The role involves working across the MHTR pathway with supervision from the Clinical Psychologist.
