Here at Galedin, we're on the lookout for an RVN to join our team on a full-time (37 hours per week) basis. We're looking for someone who's keen to get involved in the day-to-day running of our lovely practice in Berwick, where you'll be primarily responsible for providing high quality surgical, medical, nursing and animal care to the veterinary team and their clients. Other responsibilities include:
* Carry out nurse consults to include weight, dental, senior etc with regular campaigns to promote our well-established nursing clinics.
* Administering treatments and dispensing medications (as instructed by the veterinary surgeons), taking blood samples, running lab samples.
* Maintain a clean and tidy working environment.
* Taking and processing x-rays ready for the vets to view, prepare surgical theatres and the patient for operations and monitor the patient during anaesthetics and recovery.
* Schedule 3 procedures are encouraged based on experience and qualifications, with many of our RVNs doing schedule 3 procedures regularly.
* Occasional reception duties.
This is a full-time role, 37 hours a week with equal share in the Saturday and out of hours rotas.
