Job Title: 1:1 Teaching Assistant (TA)
Location: Doncaster
Pay Rate: up to £120 per day (depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract Type: Day-to-day/Long-term, Part-time/Full-time

GSL Education are looking for a dedicated 1:1 Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming school in the Doncaster area. As a 1:1 TA, this role involves providing personalised support to a pupil with special educational needs (SEN), helping them thrive academically, socially, and emotionally in a nurturing learning environment.
Responsibilities as a 1:1 Teaching Assistant:
* Provide tailored 1:1 support to meet the specific needs of the pupil.
* Assist with classroom tasks and adapt learning materials to support understanding.
* Encourage positive behaviour and build the pupil’s confidence and independence.
* Monitor progress and work closely with teachers, SENCOs, and parents.
* Support the pupil in managing emotional or behavioural challenges effectively.
Requirements for 1:1 Teaching Assistant:
* Previous experience working with children, ideally in an educational or care setting.
* Empathy, patience, and excellent communication skills.
* Ability to adapt and provide flexible support based on the pupil’s needs.
* A valid Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
* A CV covering the last 10 years of employment history, with any gaps explained.
