Love that moment when it all starts to click, reading flows, writing grows, and confidence really takes off?
Year 2 is a special one. It’s where children pull everything together, and you get to see the progress happen right in front of you. If you enjoy that stage but want more flexibility in your week, supply teaching could be just the move.
We’re working with a range of friendly, supportive primary schools across BS15 where children are encouraged to be curious, confident, and proud of their progress. You’ll step into classrooms with clear routines, positive environments, and teams that value what you bring.
What your week could look like:
* Supporting pupils as they build independence in reading, writing, and maths
* Delivering engaging lessons that keep learning fun and focused
* Helping children feel confident as they prepare for the next step into KS2
* No long-term planning pressure, just quality teaching and great classroom moments
We’re looking for someone who:
* Understands the KS1 journey and how to support children towards independence
* Brings patience, energy, and a positive classroom presence
* Builds strong relationships quickly with pupils and staff
* Is flexible, reliable, and ready to step into different settings
What you’ll get with us:
* Weekly PAYE pay, no umbrella hassle
* Flexible working, you choose your days
* FREE CPD, including Team Teach
* Friendly, down-to-earth support from people who get it
* Social events, think bowling and pizza nights
* £50 refer-a-friend bonus, always a bonus
Supply teaching in Year 2 is about more than just covering a class. It’s about helping children grow in confidence, celebrate their progress, and feel ready for what’s next, even if you’re only there for a day.
