Full time 37.5 Hours per week, Monday to Friday, on site

We have an exciting opportunity to join The Wellington Hospital Business Development team as a Business Development Manager. Working closely with the Director of Business Development, this role provides strategic leadership across hospital specialties, ensuring a coordinated,data‑drivenapproach to service line growth and performance.
The Business Development Manager will act as a key link between strategy and execution, translatinghospital‑widegrowth priorities into actionable service line plans. The role will enable other members of the Business Development team to deliverhigh‑impactrelationship management and referral growth, while drivingcross‑specialtyinitiatives, optimising referral pathways, and improving service line performance throughinsight‑ledanalysis and structured delivery.
This role is well suited to someone with experience in healthcare service management,management consulting,programme delivery, or senior commercial or business development roles, who hasdemonstratedthe ability to own and deliver complex growth initiatives from planning through to implementation, working effectively with a variety of senior stakeholders.

Whatyou’lldo:
1. Lead the development of annual growth plans across priority service lines, with support from Director of Business Development
2. Identifyopportunities for service expansion
3. Lead quarterly service line review meetings, presenting performance and recommendations
4. Design and optimise referral pathways across diagnostics, consultants, and procedural services
5. Build andmaintaintrusted,face-to-facerelationships with consultants, medicalsecretariesand practice managers, incorporating individual preferences and needs
6. Build strong working relationships with hospital leaders, heads of department and frontline teams to align consultant and hospital priorities
Whatyou’llbring:
7. Educated to degree level. If you do not have a degree, or healthcare related qualification, a background in business, sales and/or sales administration is important. Exceptional candidates that do not have a degree will be considered based on other relevant experience and a demonstrabletrack recordof delivery
8. Demonstrated ability to research, analyse and clearly articulate healthcare market data, including service volume, utilisation,demographicsand market dynamics
9. Strong critical‑thinking skills with the ability to assess issues from multiple perspectives andidentifyroot causes
10. Highly perceptive and responsive to issues and concerns raised by consultants, staff,patientsand the public
11. Confident communicator with the ability to engage effectively with consultants, senior leaders, managers, staff,patientsand external stakeholders
12. Goal‑focused and results‑driven, with a strong commitment to seeing initiatives through to completion
13. Capable of planning and managing workload independently and, whererequired, supporting the coordination of others
14. Excellent verbal and non‑verbal communication skills with a high standard of professional presentation
