Our client, a local authority in Oxfordshire, is currently recruiting for a Senior Financial Systems Accountant.
The role is due to start as soon as possible on a 10-month temporary basis. The daily rate is negotiable depending on experience.
The ideal candidate will be CCAB qualified and have strong knowledge of Microsoft Power Platform (e.g., Power BI, Power Apps).
Duties will include (but not limited to):
Lead the financial configuration and oversight of line-of-business finance systems, including interfaces with corporate finance, capital governance and contract systems
Provide technical accounting advice and support to operational projects and teams during system implementations or developments with financial system dependencies
Collaborate with project teams, working groups, or work independently to test, update and implement financial changes into finance systems
Design, generate and maintain financial reports and dashboards to support data management, compliance, performance monitoring, sound financial management and data quality

Compliance Awareness: Ensuring systems and processes meet regulatory requirements
Experience required:
Significant experience in finance, data and business systems development
CCAB qualification
Advanced IT proficiency, especially in:
Microsoft Excel (including plug-ins)
Microsoft Power Platform (e.g., Power BI, Power Apps)
Working hours:
37 hours per week
Monday - Friday 9am-5pm
