Our client, a leader in the Defence & Security sector, is currently seeking a Senior Quality Assurance Engineer for a contract position within their Customer Support and Service Solutions (CS3) line of business in Edinburgh.Key Responsibilities:Offer advice, support, and assistance on all Quality Assurance and Quality Control mattersSupport the Principal Quality Engineer in driving objectives to meet or exceed targets, including LPS/KPI goals, QL4 effectiveness, and timely supplier and customer RCCAContribute actively to IPT requirements, ensuring timely delivery of compliant products that meet all cost and safety requirementsSupport the creation of Quality Plans that define quality assurance activities aligned to Risk, Opportunity, and Improvement within the Programme and associated ProjectsProvide leadership to the Assurance Teams to meet Programme and IPT objectivesEnsure LPS goals for Quality KPIs are achieved by supporting improvement plans and managing key activitiesLead the Assurance function's improvement plans across all phases of the Programme, Product, and Project LifecycleMentor others to grow Quality excellence within the Programme/ProjectsAttend and contribute to key meetings, including IPT morning meetings, DPU forums, Engineering WO meetings, etc.Ensure timely processing of concessions, production permits, IDN requests, CoC signoffs, Receiver requests, and CoAsSupport the achievement of quality assurance milestones within the Programme, Product, and Project lifecycleDeliver reports and supporting data to the Programme, Project, and function in a timely mannerManage root cause and corrective action investigations, taking lead on key MRBs, FRBs, SCARS, and customer complaintsJob Requirements:Further education and experience ideally in Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing, or Defence ElectronicsKnowledge of AS9100 / ISO9001 and Continuous Improvement methodologiesPractical experience with Quality Tools such as Root Cause Corrective Action, Pattern Fault Lifecycle, Process Mapping, Verification, and First Article InspectionAbility to harvest complex data into actions with practical solutions that support business goalsExcellent interpersonal skills and a collaborative working style across all business functionsExperience working with customers and suppliersExperience in a high precision manufacturing environmentIf you possess the necessary qualifications and experience and are looking for an exciting new opportunity in the Defence & Security sector, apply now to join our client's dynamic team in Edinburgh
