Project Manager Barnard Castle - Full Time
We are seeking a highly skilled Construction Project Manager with experience in pharmaceutical or GMP-regulated environments to lead the planning, execution, and delivery of construction projects within our facilities. The successful candidate will ensure that all projects meet regulatory standards, are completed on time and within budget, and support the operational needs of pharmaceutical manufacturing and research.
Responsibilities
* Manage end-to-end construction and facilities projects, including initiation, planning, design, execution, monitoring, controlling, and closure.
* Ensure compliance with GMP and other regulatory standards.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Quality, Engineering, and Operations.
* Develop and manage project budgets, schedules, and risk assessments.
* Oversee contractor performance, ensuring safety and quality standards are met.
* Coordinate commissioning and qualification activities.
* Maintain accurate documentation and reporting throughout the project lifecycle.
* Lead project meetings and communicate progress to stakeholders and senior leadership.
* Ensure projects are effectively resourced and manage relationships across a wide range of groups.
* Own the permit process for Mitie projects, coordinating with technical supervisors to ensure permits are in place and correctly closed.
Qualifications
* Experience as a Project Manager within the pharmaceutical or GMP-regulated field, leading construction projects including HVAC, process utilities, and automation systems.
* Proficiency in project management tools and strong computer skills, plus excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management.
* A highly focused individual who motivates and drives performance through high standards of service and effectiveness.
* Professionalism, integrity, and honesty in representing Mitie at all times.
* Proactive planning and the ability to manage plans/programmes as the project progresses.
* A strong sense of achievement and the ability to drive projects forward, overcoming barriers and solving problems.
* Understanding of risk management and HSE principles.
