Role Overview
The Graduate Architect will assist project teams to create world‑class designs for new projects, alterations, and redevelopments across a variety of types including corporate, healthcare, sports venues, data centers, airports, institutional, industrial, manufacturing, government, and military facilities. The Assistant Architect will work with the project team throughout the design and construction process, adapting architectural plans according to budget constraints, environmental factors, or client needs.
Responsibilities
* Assist in the architectural design of projects from the conceptual phase through design completion.
* Assist with modifying and reviewing production drawings for a variety of building types.
* Assist in designing interiors based on client vision and architectural needs and requirements set forth by the project managers.
* Apply basic knowledge of commonly used architectural concepts, practices, codes, and procedures.
* Assist with research and compile project‑related data as required.
* Assist with correcting and updating drawings provided by senior architects to ensure accuracy across multiple software platforms.
* Assist with client presentations, renderings, and marketing collateral.
* Assist in performing field inspections, measurements, or calculations for public and private clients.
* Perform other duties as assigned.
* Comply with all policies and standards.
Qualifications
* Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture from an accredited program (equivalent qualifications may also be considered) – Required.
* Prior internship and/or related consulting experience – Preferred.
* Good experience at the concept design level to assist with the development of data‑center masterplans.
* Portfolio demonstrating design and graphic presentation skills – Preferred.
* Basic knowledge of standard architectural techniques, principles, and procedures.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
* Ability to work methodically and analytically in a quantitative problem‑solving environment and demonstrate critical thinking skills.
* Proficient computer skills (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite).
* Basic software and computer skills required including BIM (Revit), Adobe suite, and 3D rendering programs.
* Strong attention to detail, facilitation, team building, collaboration, organization, and problem‑solving skills.
* Demonstrated leadership skills.
