About the Role:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Mechanical Engineer to lead engineering efforts on complex facility mechanical systems. This is a hands-on role with responsibility from schematic design through to commissioning, offering the opportunity to work on diverse projects and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead mechanical engineering projects from concept to commissioning.
* Review and guide the work of engineers and designers for accuracy and completeness.
* Manage engineering budgets and schedules.
* Perform hydraulic, thermal, and code compliance calculations.
* Engineer piping, ductwork, and mechanical systems including equipment specification and layout.
* Coordinate with vendors and subcontractors, including inspections and commissioning.
* Support training and documentation handover to clients.
* Travel domestically and internationally (5–20%) to support installations and startups.
Requirements:
* Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
* 5–10 years of mechanical engineering experience, ideally in facility systems.
* Strong knowledge of pumps, pressure vessels, heat exchangers, and relief devices.
* Proficiency in P&ID development, equipment specification, and piping design.
* Excellent communication, problem-solving, and time management skills.
* Valid driver’s license required.
Work Environment & Physical Demands:
* Office and site-based work, including exposure to industrial conditions.
* Ability to lift and carry up to 25 lbs regularly.
* Must be able to travel and adapt to varying site conditions.
